| Description: | This miniature and functional grandfather clock is built from black walnut in roughly 1:6 scale. The whole clock was first 3D modelled in CAD before we cut out each piece on the CNC. After that it just took a bit of work on the router table to round over the edges and a little bit of hand sanding before final assembly. The functional clock portion is just a simple insert which slides into a slot on the top of the clock and is held in place by a rubber gasket. The handles were 3D printed in resin and given a few coats of gold/brass spray paint. |
