Dice Cannon
Class: Scale Model/Dice Roller
Project Specifications
| Scale: |
Unknown, sized for easy tabletop usage. |
| Materials: |
Cherry, PLA |
| Description: |
Loosely modelled after an 18th century model cannon, this model contains a spring loaded plunger capable of launching standard RPG dice.
The cannon itself is printed in PLA, and features the inscription "Ultima Ratio Gobelinus."
This is latin for "The Last Argument Goblins" (probably... ish...), a play on the famous inscription "Ultima Ratio Regum" found on real cannons used by King Louis XIV.
The carriage is made from cherry wood, cut on the CNC before being finished by hand with some sandpaper and hardwax oil.
The firing mechanism uses a stainless steel spring, tensioned so the dice will shoot out but hit the ground quickly rather than go flying across the table.
